In the theme of this week at school we are asked to think about the Parable of the Sower. In it we hear how Jesus explains that the “seed of faith” needs to fall on fertile and rich ground if it is going to grow and flourish. So what can we do to help this to happen at school?
- Reflect on how we can create an environment that provides the “rich soil” to explore faith and go on a spiritual journey.
- Think about how we can be positive role models for the Christian lifestyle in what we say and do. This makes a real difference to young people we serve.
- Invest the time and energy to ensure all our efforts will “bears fruit” in our community and the world we live in.
We are challenged in the Gospel by Jesus to ask what kind of soil we are – patchy, rocky, thorny or deep and fertile. This calls us ultimately to be open in our minds, eyes, ears and hearts. We are challenged to spread the “Good News” in all we do and live out the Gospel message of love and forgiveness. If we can do this who knows the wonderful impact it will have at our school and beyond?!
